My name is Thom Serra and I am the Founder and CEO of Pennant Networks, a Technology Consulting firm that launched in January of 2021, focused on servicing the Life Sciences vertical.

The Life Sciences community in the Greater Boston area is the most heavily funded and fastest-growing cluster of its kind in the world. There are treatments and therapies being developed for every type of disease or affliction that impact our lives, right here in our backyard. The cost, time, and effort to take a drug from ‘Molecule to Market’ is astronomical and lengthy. 

Our goal at Pennant Networks is to help empower Life Science breakthroughs by leveraging cutting-edge technology and services.  We have assembled an experienced and talented team committed to excellence and integrity in every engagement.  

A lot has changed in the 20+ years I’ve been in the business. I remember when I first heard about VMware and thinking the hypervisor ‘might’ be better technology than TiVo. Netflix came along and I thought they ‘might’ have a chance to take a slice out of the Blockbuster Video monopoly. I also can remember the first time I heard about ‘cloud computing’…would this clever model really have a chance? Throughout history the shifts in technology have been dramatic and at times seismic…but one constant has remained: This job isn’t just about the bits and the bytes, the widgets or the wares.  

It always has and will be about the people. For us that means our employees, customers, partners and our vendors.
